A run down of our March Floor Talks

Last month, we hosted our March 2024 floor talks, where we visited each of our teams at their depots across Kent.

We started the week bright and early in Maidstone, with coffee, a bacon sandwich and some corporate company updates from within the Commercial Services Group. These included upcoming business ventures within our sister companies, and the latest achievements we’ve seen as a Group – not least that we’re now Investors in People Gold!

We also had a lot to share in our internal Landscape Services updates and announcements. Throughout the week, we discussed the highs and lows of the last four months—celebrating achievements, evaluating our investments, and sharing feedback from our valued customers. Some highlights from these sessions included:

  • Welcoming our newest members including Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Contracts Manager, Nicky and Grounds Maintenance Operatives Starr, James, Kieron, and Ian.
  • Celebrating promotions within our teams, with big congratulations to Nat and Adam for their advancements to Team Leaders!
  • Sharing the exciting news of a brand-new depot location for Landscape Services Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells (more on this soon).
  • Announcing the arrival of some swanky new kit and a one-of-a-kind upcoming supplier demo event.
  • Saying farewell and happy retirement to Contracts Manager, Colin, one of our longest serving members of staff who had worked at Landscape Services collectively for 46 years.

Wrapping up another strong year, it was a great opportunity to connect with the team, sharing insights on our performance, upcoming initiatives, and hearing the appreciated feedback from our frontline staff.

With a group and a business as wide-spread as ours there are always new developments to share, and the floor talks are a great opportunity to keep our operational teams in the loop. A big thank you to everyone who made it to the sessions. We’re looking forward to catching up again in July!
